Video editing workstation
Workstation for video editing and color grading
Editing and color grading in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro make different demands than games: smooth scrubbing in 4K and 8K, long exports, large projects. NoMadPC designs workstations for exactly this load and builds them by hand in the workshop near Frankfurt.
What matters for video editing
Which component is the bottleneck depends on software, codec and effects. DaVinci Resolve does a lot of work on the graphics card and needs plenty of video memory for color grading and noise reduction. Premiere Pro uses both processor and graphics card, and hardware decoding decides whether footage plays smoothly without proxies.
- A graphics card with plenty of video memory for effects, grading and noise reduction
- A processor with many cores and hardware decoding for common camera codecs
- Enough memory for long timelines and Fusion or After Effects compositions
- Separate, fast NVMe drives for system, cache and project media
Built for sustained load
An export runs for hours, not ten minutes. We design cooling and power delivery for sustained full load and tune BIOS, memory and fan curves to your workload. Before handover every workstation goes through a thorough stress test.
RTX or industrial GPU
For most editing workflows GeForce RTX cards are the economical choice. Where longevity under sustained load matters, we also offer industrial GPUs from Colorful, manufactured to IPC requirements.
How a project works
You describe software, footage and bottleneck. We propose a design and say openly where more budget helps and where it doesn't. Then we build the system by hand, test it and hand it over with an invoice showing VAT; your point of contact stays the same.

Frequently asked questions
Resolve does a lot of work on the graphics card, so besides performance it is above all the video memory that counts, especially for noise reduction, Fusion and high resolutions. We clarify which card suits your footage during the consultation.
Premiere benefits from many cores and from hardware decoding for your camera's codec. Whether your footage is decoded by the graphics card or the processor often decides whether scrubbing is smooth without proxies.
That depends on resolution, project length and effects. For 4K editing we plan more generously than for a gaming PC, and correspondingly more for 8K, Fusion or After Effects.
Yes. You receive a proper invoice with VAT shown; we record your VAT ID during the consultation.
